At the office, me and colleagues just can't stop singing this song... Very the patriotic ok!
MALAYSIAKU GEMILANG
MARILAH KITA SEMUA
ATAS NAMA NEGARABANGSA
DENGAN TEKAD MULIA
MAJU BERWAWASAN
MENCIPTA KEAGUNGAN
BERPADULAH KITA SEMUA
DI DALAM SATU SUARA
DENGAN DEGUPAN MERDEKA
MENJULANG BUDAYA BANGSA
UNTUK MALAYSIA TERCINTA
MALAYSIAKU GEMILANG
MERDEKANYA TERBILANG
BERDAULAT DAN MAKMUR
BERJAYA KAMI SYUKUR
MALAYSIA, KEBEBASAN KEDAMAIAN
MALAYSIA, KEBAHAGIAAN KEBANGGAAN
MALAYSIA, CEMERLANG TERBILANG
MALAYSIAKU, GAGAH GEMILANG

~Bandung trip~
|

What did we do in Bandung?
Shopping.. makan.. shopping.. makan.. shopping and makan! One factory outlet after another, one shop after another at pasar baru.. The food was superb.. all of them.. from Nasi timbel, nasi tutug onchom, nasi kuning, ikan gurame at Asli Cibiuk.. Yummmyyy.... I'm starting to love Makanan Sunda.. Anybody know where I can find a Sunda restaurant in KL?
What else.. We did played the Angklung.. and watched some traditional performances at Saung Angklung..That was something! Strawberry and tomato picking at the highlands.. And of course, how can you not go to the spa whilst in Indon. Quite dissapointed didnt get to go to Tangkuban Perahu though.. Takpe.. maybe the next time I go to Kampung Sampireun with future hubby perhaps?*winks*
Thanks Sarah and family for the hospitality. You guys were such great host. Thanks a million to Sarah for patiently keeping up with us at all the stops and following up with my kartu and sepatu.. Jangan serik Anin datang Bandung ya?
-One week before engangement and Anin sempat lagi holiday with friends, sangat tak sedar diri- Hehhe

Finally! I have time upload some of the pictures taken from our not-so-recent family trip to Seattle USA, Granada & Cordoba, Spain, a little bit of Frankfurt, Germany and Cairo, Egypt. One whole trip around the globe.. Literally.. We stopped at the following airports - Changi, Singapore, Narita, Japan, Seatac-Tacoma, Seattle, Washington DC, Frankfurt, Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Egypt, Bangkok and KLIA Sepang, of course. Penat gile tapi BEST!!!!
Part 1 - Washington USA..
Seattle - Origin of Starbucks, Amazon, Boeing, Microsoft, setting for Sleepless in Seattle, The Last Mimzy, Greys Anatomy, Frasier, and latest - Ghost Whisperer and Kyle XY..
Seattle at night.. with Mount Rainier at the back.. Ok.. ok.. I did not take this picture.. got it from the net.. Hahaha.. Cool stuff huh?
My lil bro.. Al-fatihah for him..

Singapore weekend getaway...
|
|
A trip to Singapore is never complete without shopping - VERY SERIOUS OK THE REDUCTION!
Should I get this one? Lace hunting at Royal Fabrics with our very very patient Uncle Shanker
Another MUST DO in Singapore - MAKAN... Breakfast - Murtabak Singapore
Food... food... Chili Crab.. One of Singapore's delicacy..
More food.. Hahah..
Malay Heritage Centre, Kg Glam
It was rather a hot day...
Had a great trip down south Singapore with Elly and Chitah, visiting my dear ol' friend, flatmate, rakan sekampung halaman from the 'Far East' cum chef in Durham. It was really nice meeting Nur again after almost exactly a year since she left me all alone in Durham. Sedih tau kena tinggal sorg.. Tu yg I resort to bercinta tu.. Hehe..
We had a splendid time, although we didn't do much of the touristy stuff (apart from visiting the Night Safari and a bit of the Malay Heritage area) as we were busy hitting the shops most of the time.
Being the lazy person I am (as always), I actually left my camera memory card to Nur for her to upload the pictures on to her flickr.. Hey, it's easier to load on flickr than fotopages right? Hahah.. The pictures can be viewed at Nur's flickr and Chitah's flickr (gosh, never thought post Durham, I would ever link my fotopage to your filkcrs any more! like what they say, bad habits die hard.. bad habits ke? hehe)
I would love to write more about the trip, but then again, Nur had written a rather detailed entry in her blog (well, two entries actually, thanks dear), I wouldn't want to replicate and curi her ideas would I? (malas sbnrnya. hehehe) Have a read at

Nur, thank you soo much for the hospitality and for putting up with us, especially with the close-to-three (or was it four?) hours fabric scouting JUST at Royal Fabrics. Please say thanks to Uncle Shanker at your next visit to the shop. I've never met any salesman as 'semangat' as he is.. sampai terduduk penat!
Thanks too to the ever-so-patient chauffer, Mr Rizal, Mel for being your co-host and also Su n hubby for letting us crash their lovely apartment (and not forgetting for waking her up from her slumber at the wee hours). We did missed a few stops and most of all I didn't get to eat your cooking I've been missing sooo much for the past one year! The only way to make up for this is for another trip down south. I will be back!! Hehehe
