The day when hubby cooks.. :)

Fullamakkkk..

Buat apa tu?
View all 5 photos...
Today, hubby was not feeling well and was working from home. Yours truly pulak had a loong day at the office (tak sampai seminggu kerja dah balik lambat ). Balik2 rumah, saw the table was all set for dinner. Hubby masak tonight!! Yippie!!

Nasi goreng kampung, ayam bakar, ikan goreng and teh 'o'. Yum.. yum.. sedap! Mcm makan kat kedai siam lah!

I've always hear people saying hubby masak sedap, but since I arrived here in the UK, I think hubby was quite spoilt that I cooked for him all the time, ni la first time rasa dia masak proper meal (apart from the occasional maggie and breakfast)..

Hmm.. Memang sedap.. mane le akak tak makin cayang.. hik hik

Salam,

Mmmm mmg sedap. I suka nengok fork and spoon you too. Boleh tahu bekli kat mana? Kalau tahu boleh beri address nya sekali. Thank you

Kami pekerja cap "X"

Just got my office access ID today. When I told hubby that there was no company logo on it, hubby kata 'mmg la kat sini semua takde' and showed me his too.

Apparently, for security reasons, office IDs for most firms in the UK do not bear the office logo. So, in the event of loss, the person who found the card wouldn't know company the staff belongs to, hence reduces the chances of break ins...

Oooooo .. Gitu ke kisahnyer?...

HAHAHAHAHHA...pekerja cap X!!! Mon 14-Jul-2008 13:02

Weekend boleh makan nasi! yey!

After a few days tak makan nasi, today yours truly masak nasi beryani ayam with kari telur, acar timun with kiwi & mango shake.

Masak sedap/beriya today partly sebab kesian kat hubby makan maggi je smlm (as yours truly keluar melepak with friends till late last night ) nak bodek, tapi mcm tak jalan jer..

I just realise I am really happy when I'm cooking! A form of escapism gitew! heheh.. (ala2 put my troubles away... heheh )

fulamak anin..hebats hebats..camni kalu bole aa collect resipi dari ko..kot2 la nak masak utk me hubby plak..ahaks! Tue 1-Jul-2008 01:20

And tonight we had grilled pesto chicken wrap & watermelon shake

Smear the wrap with pesto sauce
+ Veggie + pesto grilled chicken + dash of mayo
Top up with grated cheese
View all 7 photos...
The past two entries were inspired by Nur's previous "Dinner is.." entries in her blog.. although I don't think I will continuously do this though.. (saje je nak bagi En Billy kita jealous dgn menu2 pelbagai.. heheh.. lek la Billy, jgn marah)

Dalam usaha mengurangkan pengambilan nasi (jealous ngan Effa yg loose 5kgs mainly thanks to her reduction in rice intake), I am trying to find varieties of alternative-to-rice menus for dinner and tonight yours truly made grilled pesto chicken wrap with roasted potato wedges and watermelon shake. Konon2 healthy lah, tapi still taruk mayo and cheese! Apa2 pon yg penting hubby kata sedap.. hehehe..

*Marinade and grill chicken with pesto sauce + chili powder + ground pepper + olive oil + lemon juice + salt + a lil bit of mustard and cut the grilled chicken into long pieces*
*Roast potato wedges with herbs, salt and butter*
*Blend watermelon with milk, a spoonful of sugar & ice for the watermelon shake*

hua hua...manyak nyee lu masak-masak...bukan main lagi! Sat 28-Jun-2008 16:05

House warming cum barbecue

First batch of barbecue
Yes, yes, we made satay!!

View all 34 photos...
Me and hubs threw a small housewarming party for friends last Saturday. We were glad the weather was kind to us throughout the party (the sun started to shine from noon onwards cos it was drizzling in the morning and I was worried sick the rain won't stop)

We had fun cooking and preparing all the food, especially the satay (our first attempt, really, but turned out quite alright).

Thanks to all those lovely ppl who come and also to those who brought food/drinks/gifts. It meant a lot to us. Now our house is warmer than ever!

Menu for the day - barbecued chicken, lamb, sausage, satay, kuah kacang, nasi himpit, lontong, shepherd' pie, garlic bread, salad, brownies.. semangat masak ok!!

Ada satay u!

The happy couple

Beating Retreat, featuring Regimen Askar Melayu Di Raja

My encem hubby with abang askar

View all 28 photos...
Sebagai memberi sokongan moral, me and hubby went to watch the Beating Retreat Ceremony (an event before the actual Trooping the Colour in honour of the Queen's birthday) held at the Horse Guard Parade, Whitehall, near Buckingham Palace where our very own Royal Malay Regiment band played a few number. And the guest of honour was our very own Sultan Kedah.

Reminds me of my ol' Assunta Military Band days, performing while marching and making all sorts of formation..

Btw, I have a clip of the performance here on YouTube
